Hitta Status
Oakland CA
Young Flauge (Flaugeristic), is an emcee/producer from Oakland, CA.Since independently producing, recording, and releasing his 1st album in 2004, and shortly after winning the city's Oakland Idol contest, Lamar has made quite a name for himself within the local Bay Area hip hop scene. Following the release of his debut Unthinkable LP in 2004, Lamar hit the streets to independently push his music and brand, earning the respect of local emcees San Quinn, E-40, and others.

In 2005 he founded his own record label, Hitta Status Records, and linked with a local non-profit record distribution company, New Left Musik, to release Town Bound Vol. 1 in the summer of 2005. Again, Young Flauge's music began to circulate throughout the Bay Area and people began to take notice. Lamar had, prior to its release, linked up with ex-manager of world famous Oakland rap group The Luniz, Chris Hicks, and was featured on a popular song "Right Back" that began to pick up steam locally.Taking advantage of the opportunities Lamar than began to work on a collaborative studio group project with two other local emcees, entitled Cold War: State of Emergency, which was released in December of 2006.

In 2012 Young Flauge began to work on his first project in almost six years, entitled " A-Flauge-Alypse Now" eventually released in 2013. With the release of his newest project, Lamar has been able to put together two music videos to promote the project, one for the song "Straight Fire" and another for "Take That" which combined have just under 30,000 views on Youtube so far. Lamar considers those videos to be "warm-ups" as he is preparing to shoot two more industry standard videos in the fourth quarter of 2013. He is confident that with the right look, with two industry standard videos, he will be able to take advantage of the opportunity provided by his own personalized MTV artist page which MTV set up for him after seeing his online presence.
