From Billboard to Broadway: Hit Songwriters in Musical Theatre

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

In the heyday of Tin Pan Alley, songs from Broadway musicals regularly crossed over into the pop market and became evergreen classics. These days, the radio and the stage aren’t quite so connected. Our panelists are leading lights within pop, R&B and country songwriting who have embarked on new careers writing for musical theatre. They’ll talk about the creative challenges of making the transition from the charts to the musical stage, and offer practical advice for music creators who want to follow their lead.
